Using standard PMR radio means that you share the open, public airwaves with other members of the public using the free, open frequency - 446MHz (hence PMR 446).
By purchasing an Ofcom User Licence - you will be granted exclusive, sole use of a part of the radio spectrum within your area as defined by the terms of the licence, so that you will not have other users cross-talking on your channel.
